MIAMI —  DDA Forensics is hosting a free webinar on Subrogation Against (Acts of) God on July 27 from 12-1 p.m. The educational event is open to licensed Florida adjusters and co-hosted by the South Florida Claims Association (SFCA) and supported by the Orlando Claims Association (OCA). DDA Forensics director of business development and SFCA president, Jamey Bennett, will present with J. Abraham “Abe” Hanze, Sedgwick adjuster and OCA president. Attendees will earn 1 CE  credit. RSVP online.

The course includes actual claim scenarios, live review and open Q&A session. Adjusters will  identify the right questions to ask and what to look for when considering subrogation potential during a claim related to an act of God. Attendees can successfully apply the principles from the class to their files to see whether or not there is subrogation potential in the claim.

“This presentation includes actual case studies of real claims—claims that reported acts of God as the cause of loss—to show how the eagle-eyed adjuster can look for and find subrogation recovery potential, even in an ‘Act of God’ claim. The presentation is practical and memorable, and cleverly follows the famous ’12 Steps’ used by AA and other ‘recovery’ groups—borrowing from one kind of recovery to gain insight in another kind of recovery,” says Bennett.
