At DDA Forensics, our team is the heart of everything we do, and it all started with Sebastian Franco, our very first employee back in 2018 when DDA officially launched. We’re excited to feature him in our Team Spotlight! Raised around job sites and project blueprints, Sebastian developed respect for the building process at an early age. Today, he brings that passion to life as a Building Consultant, leveraging his credentials as a Certified Building Contractor, Certified Roofing Contractor, Licensed Multi-State Adjuster, and Licensed Mold Assessor and Remediator. With extensive hands-on experience, Sebastian plays a vital role in delivering accurate, unbiased assessments and guiding our clients through the complexities of rebuilding after a loss.

Why are you passionate about the Industry?

Construction has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up around it. My father flipped houses in Colombia and later ran a small general contracting company in South Florida. By middle school, I was already on job sites with him, learning how to manage projects and bring blueprints to life. I was hooked from the moment I saw a finished build match its original design vision.

During college, I worked as an entry-level foreman on major government projects including the Larry & Penny Thompson Park, the Palmetto Bridge, and even an airplane hangar at Opa-locka Airport. That experience sealed the deal. I knew I wanted to continue on and earn my General Contractor license and fully immerse myself in the industry.

I’m passionate about continuous learning. I joined DDA Forensics in 2017 as an estimator, earned my adjuster license in 2018, earned the mold assessor/remediator license in 2023, and obtained my general contractor license in 2024. Today, I serve as a Building Consultant, combining boots-on-the-ground experience with extensive knowledge of the claims process.

What do you enjoy most about working with DDA Forensics clients?

I enjoy giving clients a clear, honest, and accurate picture of what it really takes to rebuild after a loss. Whether it’s roofing, plumbing, drywall, or any trade in between, I break down the scope, costs, and estimates. It’s rewarding to provide our clients with the tools needed to settle a case fairly and help them navigate insurance claims with confidence and clarity.

What do you like most about the DDA Forensics company culture?

I took a risk joining DDA as its first employee, but it paid off. It’s been an honor to be part of the tremendous company growth from the ground up. What stands out is our culture of leadership, not micromanagement. We have an excellent team of extremely advanced staff with diverse backgrounds. We challenge each other, collaborate on topics, and are encouraged to speak up. At DDA, I have a voice and my opinion matters. I think we’re all perfectionists here, and that’s definitely a win. Combined, we’re a force to be reckoned with!

What do you think is your biggest business strength?

Thinking outside the box. In construction, there’s rarely one perfect path. I can see the different angles and perspectives as opposed to limiting my view to one scope. Sometimes, taking a different route delivers a better outcome. I bring that mindset to every project, always looking for smarter, more efficient ways to get the job done with integrity and accuracy.

What are some successes or milestones you’ve achieved at DDA Forensics?

I’m proud to say that every single case I’ve worked on has settled without the need for litigation. My goal is always to provide enough data and clarity upfront so clients and carriers can make sound decisions. I’m also committed to continuous learning.
