DDA Forensics Director of Engineering Leads the Way in Excellence

MIAMI — Dr. Ziad Azzi, Director of Engineering at DDA Forensics, was invited to join the National Academy of Building Inspection Engineers (NABIE) as an Executive Member, a prestigious distinction that underscores his leadership and contributions to the field of forensic engineering and building science.

NABIE is a nationally recognized organization that sets the gold standard for engineers in the building inspection and forensic fields. Members are vetted professionals committed to continuing education, ethical practice, and advanced technical competency.

“I’m honored to be part of an organization that sets the standard for excellence and professionalism in the field of building inspection and safety! Looking forward to contributing, learning, and growing alongside industry leaders,” says Azzi.

This achievement is especially meaningful as Dr. Azzi is currently the only NABIE member representing South Florida, and is based in Miami, one of the country’s most dynamic and structurally diverse regions.

“As a respected thought leader, Dr. Azzi brings a powerful combination of academic insights and real-world experience to every project. His admission to NABIE is a testament to his continued contributions to the industry,” says Brian Peterson, Managing Partner, DDA Forensics.

NABIE’s goal is to serve the public by advancing the skill and art of engineering analysis, investigation, consultation and expert testimony in building inspections and evaluation based on engineering knowledge or judgment. The organization also aims to establish criteria for and further the education of building inspection engineers through formal studies, seminars and publication of literature on the subject.

Azzi’s induction into NABIE as an Executive Member reinforces DDA Forensics reputation as a national leader in forensic investigations, expert witness services, and complex claims analysis. Since 1989, NABIE has worked to establish the highest standards for the building and home inspection industry and to verify the qualifications of individuals offering these services. NABIE only accepts state-licensed professional engineers specializing in the practice of building inspection as members. Engineers must also be members of the National Society of Professional Engineers.

With operations in seven states and a growing team of highly accredited licensed engineers, building consultants, and contractors, DDA Forensics continues to set the benchmark for technical accuracy, ethical reporting, and litigation-ready expertise in the insurance and legal industries.
