Jonathon Diego and Dr. Ziad Azzi Deliver Expert-Led Sessions on Claims Exposure and Wind Damage Evaluation
NEW ORLEANS — DDA Forensics was honored to present two dynamic sessions at the Louisiana Claims Association (LCA) Annual Conference, held June 26–27 at the Higgins Hotel in New Orleans. Managing Partner Jonathon Diego and Director of Engineering Dr. Ziad Azzi each delivered practical, insight-packed presentations tailored to adjusters, attorneys, and claims professionals throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Azzi presented “Recognizing Wind Damage: Where and What to Look For,” guiding participants through the complexities of assessing wind-related losses, including damage to shingle and tile roof systems. The session included real-world examples, photo documentation, and an in-depth analysis of how to distinguish wind-related damage from other causes such as installation defects or wear and tear.
“Understanding wind dynamics and applying engineering clarity to damage assessments is essential in today’s claims environment. We’re committed to helping professionals bridge the gap between field observations and defensible conclusions,” said Azzi.
Diego presented “Exposure Is in the Details,” which explored the often-overlooked risk factors that can escalate claims, increase liability, and lead to litigation. With decades of experience in forensic claims management, he outlined proactive strategies to identify red flags early, improve documentation, and reduce costly errors in both residential and commercial property claims.
“This presentation helps professionals at every level sharpen their ability to spot risk before it becomes a problem. Our goal is to equip the industry with tools and insight to handle complex claims more effectively—and defensibly,” said Diego.
DDA Forensics recently launched a Continuing Education program and provides presentations, classes, and webinars for adjusters and attorneys throughout the nation. Stay tuned for more upcoming events, CE/CLE opportunities, and educational content from the DDA team.
