MIAMI — DDA Forensics, a leader in forensic investigations throughout Florida, Texas, and Louisiana, is pleased to announce the promotion of Ziad Azzi, PhD, PE, to Director of Engineering. Dr. Azzi is a Civil and Structural engineer and brings over 10 years of experience providing expertise in structural and geotechnical engineering, structural analysis, structural dynamics, earthquake and wind analysis of structures, aeroelasticity, vibration and inspection, as well as evaluation of existing residential and commercial structures. As Director of Engineering, Dr. Azzi will oversee all aspects of the engineering department.

Dr. Azzi has been with DDA Forensics for 3 years and has led numerous conclusive investigations, delivering exceptional insights to resolve complex cases on a variety of residential and commercial claims. He has published numerous articles and conference papers in prestigious journals and presented on numerous engineering topics throughout the U.S and Europe at renowned conferences.

Committed to ongoing education and maintaining industry leading accreditations, Dr. Azzi is a registered PE in Florida and Louisiana and licensed Commercial General Contractor (CGC) and Commercial Roofing Contractor (CCC) in Florida. He holds an MBA from the University of Miami and graduated as Valedictorian of his cohort. He has a MS and a PhD in Civil Engineering from Florida International University with an emphasis on Wind Engineering and Building Enclosure. He also holds an MS and BE in Civil Engineering from the Lebanese American University with an emphasis on Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Mechanics. He proudly holds HAAG Residential, HAAG Commercial and HAAG Wind Damage Inspector certifications. He is actively involved in the following professional organizations: American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Institute for Steel Construction (AISC), and the American Association for Wind Engineering (AAWE).
