Esteemed “Wind Doctor” Shares Advanced Insights in Forensic Investigations
PHOENIX — Dr. Ziad Azzi, Director of Engineering at DDA Forensics, presented at the Property & Liability Resource Bureau (PLRB) Western Regional Adjusters Conference, held June 24–25 at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa in Glendale, Arizona. The event focuses on claims challenges identified by members.

Azzi led a new session titled “Advanced Wind Event Analysis: Property Damage Assessment & Documentation,” offering valuable insights into the forensic evaluation of wind-related property damage. He discussed how to distinguish wind damage from other contributing factors, proper documentation techniques, and the role of forensic engineering in supporting accurate claim resolution.
With extensive experience investigating damage from hurricanes, tornadoes, and other high-wind events, Azzi shared real-world examples and best practices for field adjusters, claims professionals, and litigation teams seeking to minimize exposure and improve outcomes in complex property claims.
“Understanding how to properly assess and document wind damage is critical in today’s insurance landscape. This session helps bridge the gap between field observations and defensible reporting,” said Azzi.
